If you do not know whether your site is pathetic or not, then it probably is. However, so that you know what my definition of a pathetic site is, I have listed the following qualities of a pathetic site:
a. If you use Comet Cursor or have “cute little flowers” or butterflies that chase cursors around your index page, your site is probably pathetic.
b. If your color scheme will throw people into seizures...let me explain, if you have a red back ground with orange or yellow flashing graphics...your site sucks.
c. If your website takes forever to load, it better be worth it.
d. If you use dripping blood bars or animated bats, animated pentagrams, animated skulls, etc. your site is probably pathetic.
e. If your graphics look like you mugged one of the original episodes of Scooby Doo, your site is pathetic.
f. If you have stolen graphics from MY website, you're pathetic AND you suck.
g. If you use famous artists artwork and try to pass it off as your own, you are pathetic.
h. If your website is dedicated to a role-play game...
i. If your website just looks like one giant EZ Board (this means Liliths Lair is not eligible for my award, so don't even ask).
J. If your website is made with one of those free web site “web wizards”, “web site in a flash” programs or a template, it is probably pathetic.
k. If your website has pictures of you getting your ass kicked in a really stupid looking medieval or renaissance costume at the latest SCA or Amptgaurd gathering, not only is your site pathetic, but you are too.
To be honest, there is a ton more, but I think this is enough to give you an idea.

Take note of the "Shadow is not allowed here" comment on the bottom of the index page. Also take note of the dripping blood bar, stolen graphics and lack of taste this site is built with. Then keep in mind that the owner had the nerve to tell me that my site sucked. I recieved an e-mail from the owner of the site one day where she tore into me and stated that this page of my site was offensive. So, her site takes the position of honor on this page as an example of a "pathetic site". So Artemesia, this paragraph is dedicated to you.
